Neve Genesys & ipMIDI

At work we use an AMS Neve Genesys Console which is pretty great in a lot of ways. All of the internal routing, panning and channel EQ is totally recallable. Internally, the board is controlled by a PC running a custom Windows 7 front-end/wrapper.

Hairball FET Rack 1176

I assembled 4 of these for the studio where I’ve been working. Mike at Hairball has done an amazing job, totally revamping the kits since I built mine a couple years ago.

Active DI

I put together this active DI recently based on a design published by retired Swedish sound engineer Bo Hansén. The result is a device that sounds better than commercial products that cost significantly more than the price of parts.

Cable Management

Moving is a hassle but it’s good to have an excuse to rethink the way a workspace is set up and laid out. My studio stuff has to share a room with our living room at home but fortunately the new living room is 26ft long, giving me more room than I’ve ever had to play.
